FDA regulations and compliance standards for sanitary hoses
Our sanitary hoses and sanitary hose assemblies are designed to help customers meet applicable FDA and industry standards for hygienic processing. For food and beverage use, materials commonly meet FDA 21 CFR 177 requirements for contact with food (such as 177.1550 for PTFE, 177.2600 for elastomers, and 177.1520 for certain PVCs) and are manufactured in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). For pharmaceutical and biotech applications, we offer flexible sanitary hose and assemblies that can support compliance with USP Class VI and FDA 21 CFR material requirements, and can be supplied with documentation to support cGMP validation. Many silicone and fluoropolymer constructions are also available to support 3‑A Sanitary Standards for dairy processing and can be paired with sanitary hose fittings compliant with ASME BPE dimensional and surface finish guidance. Our sanitary hoses can be specified to meet or help support EU food-contact frameworks and are available with certificates of conformance and, upon request, material traceability.
